We have started collecting data and have uploaded some into MCTI. Going through the different reports we have tried to graph the data. When choosing that report option is comes up with an error screen that we don't have the license to use that function. Is this a future part of MCTI or are we doing something wrong.
Thanks.

Hi,
To be able to help you with your question, I will need some further information:
--What version of i-Tree (check the CD) do you currently have installed?
--Which report exactly are you trying to run?
--What is the exact wording of the error message you are seeing?
--Are you collecting tree information using a Pocket PC or by hand?
--Did you configure your project to choose MCTI defaults?
Thanks

Hello MCTI Techi,
I have the same situation as EP Parks, and wondered how you each solved it. My version is 1.2.1. I want to run graphs of species composition percentages, tree condition percentages and numbers, work type percentages and numbers. I assumed you had a graph report format prepared.
I have collected data using both the pocket pc and by hand.
I began in using MCTI defaults, but through the menu options, changed the configurations. I have since then, changed back to MCTI defaults.
I see that the database has recorded the data accurately, although the MCTI screen does not necessarily show them.
I have manually adjusted the MCTI screen to reflect all DBH in classes.
I have manually entered the surveyor as BLODA in the MCTI program.
I have difficulty with the PDA utility configuraion screen in that it does not allow me to adjust the surveyor, or does not upload changes which the configuration menu does allow.
I will wish to use the configuration choices the configuration menu allows, and ask if MCTI will allow.
I am presently unable with the handheld to access the condition fields of weak fork, wires, decay. Have not found how to show the percent of deadwood on the PDA utility. In short, I need to make the handheld utility coinicide with the desktop report setup.
I also need advice of presenting STATUM powerpoints for a group of tree commissioners. Can you direct me to the presentations already prepared?

When reporting “graphical reports” in MCTI (see sec. 3.1.5 in User’s Manual), you must first select the “area” to be included, and then click the “refresh” button to produce the graphic.
Configuring MCTI to reflect data fields defined in the project configuration is a two step process. Please refer to section 3.1.4 of the User’s Manual, under the heading “Importing i-Tree Configuration and Field Data to MCTI.
PDA configuration for MCTI is outlined in section 3.2.1 of the User’s Manual, but we would be happy to walk you through the process if you would like to discuss by telephone.
MCTI default configuration setup for both PDA and MCTI desktop use is facilitated by clicking the “MCTI Defaults” button on the General tab of the desktop utility; see #1, under the “Configuration” heading of section 3.2.1 of the Manual.
Please call our support line if you have any questions 1-877-574-8733

thanks for the graphic advice
Hello to you.
I will take your advice and reply with my results.
Thanks for your timeliness. I was called away to some other obligations.
