No Conifers for "Species Value Assignment": define

Post by rgthurau » Wed Aug 13, 2008 1:34 pm

So, I'm assigning my unmatched species codes and I understand that the "Species Value Assignment" will dictate the algorythms used to calculate the values of species that are not in the STRATUM database.

Why are there no conifers to match with my unmatched conifer trees?
Am I missing something?

Example: I found a white fir during the inventory, Abies concolor. STRATUM of course does not list Abies concolor, but does recognize Abies picea. Why is Abies picea not available for my choice in "Species Value Assignment"?

Thanks
