i-Tree for Debris Management Planning?

Post by mformisano » Mon Oct 31, 2011 8:15 am

I am interested in knowing how i-Tree can assist in debris management planning in more detail. Specifically, which application should be used to estimate how much "woody debris" will be generated from a natural disaster, like a hurricane, that may generate high winds across the entire county.

Storm damage debris assessment

i-Tree Storm, formerly the storm damage assessment protocol, has a hurricane adaptation for estimating woody debris from an event. In addition to the Storm User's Manual http://www.itreetools.org/resources/manuals.php, there are several articles which discuss the development, methods and limitations in detail in the Resources - Archives section of the website. http://www.itreetools.org/resources/archives.php See information under the i-Tree Storm SDAP drop down.

There was also an i-Tree Storm webinar which is archived at the following link http://www.unri.org/webcasts/itree/i-tr ... o-archive/ Scroll down to the bottom of the page for the June 2nd session.
