I would suggest starting with the i-Tree website www.itreetools.org to learn more about the various applications & utilities that are available within the i-Tree suite of tools. You can access technical documents regarding the underlying research and also the individual application manuals from the Resources tab.
I would also suggest downloading and installing the applications. Most applications have a sample project available that will allow you to explore and obtain a better understanding of the tools.
