Species zones

Post by john Simmons » Thu Jun 21, 2007 5:38 am

How do you import an updated species zone into the STRATUM/MCTI Tree Inventory PDA Utility? We are missing the Northeast, and there does not seem to be an import button to grab the latest STRATUM Species MDB.

Thanks,
John

Hi John,

I know we resolved your questions by phone, but I thought I would respond here too incase anyone else had the same question.

If you have not yet obtained the Northeast species list, please go to our website at http://www.itreetools.org/installation/ ... index.html. Follow the instructions provided to update STRATUM.

Once you have updated, use this procedure (see User’s Manual, 3.2.1) to use the new list on your PDA:
1. Open the STRATUM/MCTI PDA Utility on your desktop.
2. Click the Configure button.
3. Click the Project tab
4. Choose in the Climate Zone pull-down menu: 12 Northeast
5. Click Save and Exit, then Exit
The new species list will be available after you synchronize the PDA to apply the new settings.

I hope this helps. --Scott
