i-Tree Species: Sensitivity?
What does sensitivity mean? This is unclear. My guess is that it means the species of tree could be damaged by the pollutant in question. For example, yellow birch is sensitive to NO2. Does this mean that "high" levels of NO2 would damage a yellow birch or that yellow birch is sensitive to picking up (and removing) NO2 from the atmosphere?

Re: i-Tree Species: Sensitivity?
Your guess is correct. Sensitivity indicates that the species in question is more susceptible to injury by the indicated pollutants. For more details on the underlying methods behind i-Tree Species see this document from our archives, https://www.itreetools.org/species/reso ... Method.pdf. There are a few different references listed in the "Pollutant sensitivity" section of that document. If you are interested in digging even further into the the origins of the sensitivity ratings here is a direct link to one of those documents, http://trace.tennessee.edu/cgi/viewcont ... _agexfores.
