Can I use existing inventory data for an Eco analysis?

Existing inventory data can be used if the proper crown parameters (tree height, bole height & crown width) are measured on each tree, along with information on species, diameter at breast height (4.5 feet), and crown dieback, crown % missing and crown light exposure. Species codes must also be converted to Eco species codes (see Eco Species Codes http://www.itreetools.org/eco/resources ... 20List.xls).

See Eco Tree Variable section http://www.itreetools.org/eco/resources ... ations.pdf

Yes, most typical tree inventories will not have all these variables but users can now set up future inventories to collect necessary Eco data and import data into an Eco complete inventory project.

An example of the complete inventory option report tables can be viewed at this link http://www.itreetools.org/eco/resources ... tables.pdf

See i-Tree Eco User’s Manual v4.1.0 http://www.itreetools.org/resources/man ... Manual.pdf Appendix 3: Importing Existing inventory data for more details
