iTree Export Options

Post by Chrum5555 » Thu Nov 26, 2020 11:10 am

Hello,

The tree charity that I work for would like to use the data that iTree provides on our trees to create a map.

I was wondering 1) if there is a way to get our returned data back as an excel spreadsheet, a CSV file or even word table, with the individual environmental and economic of each tree. And 2) if there is a way to keep our own TreeIDs when uploading our data into iTree, so that when the information is given back we can recognize each of our trees.

Thank you for your help,
Charlotte

Hello Charlotte,

Yes, it is possible to export results as csv files.
Yes, it is possible to input your own tree identifiers. When setting up the project turn on the User ID field during project configuration.

Hi Charlotte,

To export tree data, open the project, go to the Data Tab, click on Plots, shrubs, or Trees, then click on CSV:

Am I able to get the data that iTree sends back as a CSV file?

I would ideally like the carbon/environmental benefits of each individual tree in a CSV format.

Thank you for your responses,
Charlotte

Yes, open the Eco project, go to the report you would like to export, click on the disc icon:

and then choose csv format.

Great! That's fantastic!

Just one more question, I was able to download the reports as an excel file. But how do I keep my own TreeIDs (or GPS coordinates) when I download those files? They automatically just kept iTree's given TreeIDs, which are of no use to me.

To include User ID and Coordinates in reports check the applicable box in the ribbon at the top of the window:
