Re: Import File Formats
For Eco and Streets, tree inventory data can generally be imported into an established inventory project for those applications with a properly formatted .mdb Access database file. Eco can also use a shapefile for a project area boundary to generate a quantity of random plots for sampling if needed ...

Design v6 pdf report images not generating consistently
The PDF report generated in i-Tree Design may be missing the charts, graphs and other images normally seen in the report. This issue was reported by (2) different i-Tree Design users and verified. However, Design report images are rendering properly for other users working with the same operating sy...

Re: Estimates on the number of i-Tree studies conducted
Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to accurately estimate a total number of i-Tree studies since we really don’t have a good way of monitoring how people use i-Tree after they request a CD or download the software. Since there are multiple tools in the suite, we don’t know which tool a person ...

Re: Comparing Sample & Complete Inventory of same plot, prob
Here are some additional thoughts on this topic. It is possible to create a sample project in Eco version 5 with 1 plot that is the same size of the project area. The plot can then be populated with all the trees in your inventory and you will be able to generate the canned written report and other ...

Re: ECO - measuring azimuth for complete sampling
Hello, I'm not sure I would advise using a protractor for this Eco measurement. I would suggest using a compass such as the one in this link http://www.forestry-suppliers.com/product_pages/Products.asp?mi=12861&itemnum=37064 that will allow you to determine 0-360 degree azimuth from tree to buil...

Re: i-eco canopy dieback impact on Condition, LAI, and runof
Since this started with the avoided run-off (ARO) estimate, I will start peeling this back from there. Eco uses a lumped approach for the ARO estimate (i.e. estimated with the LAI and tree cover for the whole area) and then proportionally divides the total estimate into each individual tree based on...

These errors should have a species code associated with processing error it in the text. Such as *** Error: Code SYRO - Has a leaf area to biomass entry but no corresponding group entry... In many cases, these messages are due to changes in the underlying processing files but aren't always an indica...

Re: Eco reports "No data" when running a report
Hello Nigel, Can you please confirm that the data was submitted for processing after completing the import steps. The steps to submit data for processing are described on pages 60 & 61 of the i-Tree Eco manual https://www.itreetools.org/resources/manuals/Eco_Manual_v5.pdf . Basically, project da...

Re: New User & Questions On Setup
Hello Lisa, There has not been any significant changes in the limited maintenance reporting in i-Tree Streets or integration of work order generation since my reply in 2009. I would suggest consulting some of the online comparisons of other available tree and asset management software. A Comparative...

Re: Exportation of Data
Yes, the underlying Streets Access databases use lookup tables to store values for projects and you will therefore see representative numbers in the export. As an alternative, I recommend using the Input - Records dialog box which displays Streets records with the actual values. You can highlight re...

Can you please send us a copy of your packed Eco project using the File - Pack Project option. We would like to take a look at the project to investigate if there is an issue. Please send the zip file to the info@itreetools.org email as an attachment.

Hello Carolyn, The (3) databases that you mentioned are only populated when a user is conducting an Eco complete inventory analysis. Since that option was added on to the original Eco (UFORE) application, those database tables were integrated into the report database to accommodate data generated fr...
