Hi, I am assuming you are attempting to import a "STRATUM-formatted" inventory rather than an inventory created through the use of the i-Tree PDA Utility. If this is the case, you must make sure that your data is organized according to Appendix D in the User's Manual. And note that the *.mdb file yo...

Hi, It is known that the sample generator is buggy with ArcGIS 9.2 (see http://forums.itreetools.org/viewtopic.php?t=286). However, we'd like to see if we can't help you out here. Could you send a screen capture at the point of error you describe below so we can try and replicate the problem? Thanks...

The sum of all street segments equals total street miles. So yes, they are equivalent (i.e., 6% of street miles = 6% of street segments).

Without better understanding how you setup your project, trouble shooting the error message will be difficult. At this point, maybe it would be easiest if you to attached the database you are trying to import and tell us if it is setup as a sample inventory or full inventory, and which climate zone ...

Hi Frediana, If using the default DBH classes, class 1 is defined as 0-3 inches. In this case, STRATUM will include trees with a zero dbh in this class and the tree will be assigned average benefit values for the entire class based on the midpoint value (1.5). That is, all trees in each dbh class ar...

Thanks for your question. The main issue with Vista compatibility revolves around data transfer to and from the PDA Utilities through the new "Windows Mobile Device Center," which enables you to set up PDA partnerships and synchronize data. Currently, with i-Tree v.1.2, data can only be transferred ...

Hi EPParks, Unfortunately, at this time, both MCTI and STRATUM are one-way streets when it comes to updating data. That is, data goes from the PDA Utility to the i-Tree Grand Database to MCTI or STRATUM, but not in reverse order. Consequently, as you update your MCTI inventory, you’ll no longer have...

Hi, It would not be difficult to update your STRATUM project to a different climate zone once it becomes available; beyond some species code reassigning, the adjustments would be minimal. There currently is no Reference City for the South Central climate zone, so the time horizon for inclusion withi...

It sounds like you may have simply missed a step when setting up your MCTI project; before your field data is imported for the first time, you must first import your configuration settings. In section 3.1.4 of the manual under, “Importing i-Tree Configuration and Field Data to MCTI,” there is a proc...
