STRATUM definitions & data requirements

STRATUM allows the user to distinguish between public and private trees because there can be much variability between communities and project objectives. Ultimately, the project manager will define the parameters based on his or her own unique situation. Some project managers are only interested in ...

UFORE error 3421

Zach, This error code indicates that there is data that is being entered in a field in the UFORE Shell data entry form which is not being accepted. It could be a value out of range as you have suggested or it may be something else. It is hard to pinpoint without seeing what you are entering. Can you...

No, the UFORE plot generator does not work with ArcGis 9.2 or 9.3. Workbooks were developed to assist users of ESRI ArcGIS 9.2 and above with procedures to create plots and associated files external of the UFORE shell. They can be accessed at this link http://www.itreetools.org/applications/sig.shtm...

version 3.0

Hello William, You should not encounter any problems especially if you are working with the most recent version of the i-Tree software. There should not be the need for duplicate data entry. Please feel free to send me an email directly and let me know what application (STRATUM, UFORE, MCTI) you are...

version 3.0

Hello William,

Work is still progressing on 3.0 and we should be posting online an April newsletter in a day or so with a progress update of some of the applications that will be offered. Sorry, a beta version of v3.0 applications and utilities is not available for distribution.

Thanks,
Al

Field Data Transfer and Data Clearing of PDA

Brian, Thanks for the suggestion. I have heard this request from another user recently and brought this up during a recent development meeting. We are still inclined to recommend using an SD card for storing data on a PDA to avoid problems of record duplication or unintentionally overwriting databas...

version 3.0

Hello,

Data that was collected in older versions of i-Tree should be transferable into v3.0. However, we lack enough older i-Tree data to test thoroughly for any unforeseen issues.

The end of May09 is the current target for release of 3.0.

Thanks,
Al

Windows Mobile 6.0 for PDA utilities update

i-Tree programmers recently completed testing Windows Mobile 6.0 with i-Tree 2.1 applications using an emulator and did not encounter any problems. However, testing still needs to be completed with an actual device running WM6.0. Since devices running WM6.0 are available on the market, we know that ...

Exporting i-Tree data

Although we do not provide support for exporting i-tree data into this application, you can access your data which is stored in a Microsoft Access database table. The location and table name would depend on the application you are working with. You can then export the table as a .txt file. You will ...

Adding climatic data for Australia

Hello, Thank you for your question regarding adapting the STRATUM module for use in Melbourne. We have had much interest in using i-Tree applications in Australia and struggle with a way to accommodate that interest. Unfortunately, the STRATUM model is not as adaptable as UFORE for a project outside...
