Re: GPS not working with I-Tree

My GPS on my Juno will not work with I-tree. I fussed around with com-ports and baud rates, but nothing worked. The GPS works fine while using ArcPad and when I used a Holux receiver with Bluetooth, but not the on-board GPS. Any ideas? Is anyone else using I-Tree with a Trimble Juno? Are you using ...

I FINALLY got an answer from palm (this was exhausting!!) This phone does NOT have a GIS/GPS INSIDE of it. I need to buy a seperate receiver for it. I have ordered one & will report back after I "receive" it. (haha).
I'm glad you got it figured out. :)

AGH, it is quite helpful to mention whether you're using Streets or Eco when you post a new thread. I've pointed the post out to the Streets developer and he should be responding shortly.

To be honest I don't think we've received any other complaints about the button. In Streets you can choose not to record that information and then login is not necessary, if that helps.

I've revisited this issue a bit, and I think perhaps the inbound and outbound bluetooth port should be the same. Try setting them both to COM 6. If that doesn't work by itself, turn Windows automatic GPS management off in the GPS settings form in the control panel, and then tell Streets PDA to use C...

I'm not sure if I am actually using the GPS Virtual Port or not. At the External GPS Setting, I set the GPS HW port to Com 6 and the GPS Program Port to Com 5, I also connect thru Bluetooth Connectivity. The only other GPS app I have is the IOGear Navigation System which will receive and display th...

Appreciate the prompt reply. I have tried actually collecting GPS info by tapping Start and Acquire, but no information appears. I tried setting up a Windows GPS virtual port with no success in having iTree communicate. The settings on iTree are: Com Port - 6, Baud Rate - 4800, Parity - None, Data ...

Re: GPS not Communicating

I am using HP IPAQ 111 PDAs with an IOGear GBGPS201 GPS, communicating by Bluetooth connection. The IPAC is running Windows Mobile 6 Classic operating system. The GPS does not seem to work with iTREE 3.0. The IPAC makes a Bluetooth connection with the GPS and I can read the GPS on the IPAC, however...

The user's issue was resolved by uninstalling all references to "Windows Mobile Device Center" in add/remove programs then reinstalling Mobile Device Center 6.

The Device is a Samsung Omnia. It's operating on S:i910.10.V.bj28.2027. I'm trying to see if there is a newer version released since my phone was made, even though I have had it less than a month. There are no error messages in Streets, all is green with WMDC, and no dialogue box pops up at all. Th...

Re: stumped

Michael: Neither suggestion worked: The updated drivers install from both of the x86 designated files in the Vista Device Center 6.1 folder (drvupdatex86-32 and WMDC61x86), but neither solves the problem. I ran the installer "as administrator" from the .exe file in the Streets PDA folder. The Stree...

i-Tree Updater is Not Detected, Asks to Download Update Tool

i-Tree v3 users who have installed the i-Tree Update Tool Standalone Installer from i-Tree v2.x may receive the following message when checking for updates: "The i-Tree Update Tool needs to be installed. Click OK to download and install." To resolve the issue, please close all i-Tree Applications an...

Re: You asked...

Hi Jerry,

We have officially removed support for Windows 2000 in i-Tree v3.0.2 due to compatibility issues with Crystal Reports 2008. The installer will no longer allow you to install or upgrade on Windows 2000.

Do you have any VM's running XP you can test in?
