Re: Regarding i- tree tool working
i-Tree Eco is not a single simple model. Each of the ecosystem service estimates are based on a different body of research often spanning multiple peer-reviewed publications. Additionally, some of the models (air pollution removal and avoided runoff) operate on an hourly time step and are very chall...

Re: Trouble calculating volume
None of the i-Tree tools estimate wood volume. i-Tree Eco can provide you with an estimate of full tree wood biomass but that may not meet your goals. You can always download i-Tree Eco, https://www.itreetools.org/verify/?next=/documents/746/i-Tree_2021_6.1.38.exe , and give it a try to see if it wi...

Re: Tool for Environmental benefits calculation - ITALY
You would have to use the "Forecast" module within i-Tree Eco to project the growth of your inventory of trees over time. The "Forecast" option, at the top of the i-Tree Eco application, will become available once you submit data for processing and retrieve your results. The &quo...

Re: Tool for Environmental benefits calculation - ITALY
Thanks for the question. I think i-Tree Eco may meet your needs. There is a Forecast module within i-Tree Eco that would allow you to project the benefits (including PM2.5 removal). i-Tree Eco will work for your location. However, i-Tree Eco is more involved tool and will take some time to learn. We...

Re: Import data from Excel to Eco v6.0 in a plot-based sample project?
There is no change in the status of a plot-based importer. This is still a feature that we can not implement without additional funding given the relatively small user base requesting this feature.
Thanks for your question.

Re: Regarding i- tree use in India
Hello, There are a number of i-Tree users in India working with i-Tree Eco. Currently, there is a bug in i-Tree Database that prevents that platform from accurately showing available locations. I suggest you download and install i-Tree Eco then you can view the available locations during project set...

Re: No station in the weather station selector
I ran a quick test and didn't have any issues seeing weather stations for Pau. The "Pau Pyrenes" and "Lourdes" stations were both shown within 25 miles for the years I checked (2018 and 2015). Please try updating your software to make sure you are using the latest version of i-Tr...

Re: how to apply i-Tree eco to private homestead windbreak
Hello, I responded to some of these questions in your other forum post but I wanted to respond to your question about results in Excel. It sounds like you may be most interested in a table showing ecosystem services for individual trees. You can access this table in i-Tree Eco by going to the "...

Re: how to apply i-Tree eco to private homestead windbreak
Hello, It is reasonable to assess homestead or residential trees using i-Tree Eco. In order to add your location into i-Tree Eco you will need to submit available data through the i-Tree Database portal ( https://database.itreetools.org/#/splash ). You can provide information only about your locatio...

Re: How to apply the i-Tree Eco in the tropical region?
Sorry, it is not possible to edit the avoided runoff rates in i-Tree Eco. You can create your own models or adjustments outside of i-Tree Eco if you find that the i-Tree Eco assumptions are not valid for your project. Further, you may want to estimate the real impervious cover ratios for your locati...

Re: How to apply the i-Tree Eco in the tropical region?
It is up to you, the user, to determine if this assumption is valid in your location. If you do not think this assumption is valid for your location you can use your own runoff rates within i-Tree Canopy. You can edit these values by going to the "Regional Settings" under the "Configu...

Please note that i-Tree Streets is legacy software and we recommend that all users migrate to i-Tree Eco. Bamboo species are available by default within i-Tree Eco and no species additions are necessary.

Re: Forecast module mortality rate
Hi William, Forecast is very flexible so you can design your mortality rates to reflect whatever levels you would like. You could modify the base mortality rate to capture your desired establishment phase mortality. If you are looking to model past establishment phase, you could create annual mortal...
