Vue NLCD adjustment factor

I am doing a project for South Louisiana and wanted to adjust the tree canopy data, however, the region that I am interested in is labeled 96 which does not show up on the adjustment table. How should I handle that?

i-Tree Vue Limitations

It was suggested that I post this technical document link on the forum so that others can use Vue more effectively. Basically, i-Tree Vue tends to underestimate urban tree canopy because of its coarse imagery resolution. However, this application is still a good tool to use for preliminary data and ...

It has to do with statistics and the Central Limit Theorum which basically states that the more samples you have, the lower your statistical error, and the more precise your results become. I think that 200 plots in a 181 acre park is a bit much (1 plot represents less than an acre). You may want to...

Al, Can you give a sneak preview of data requirements for Hydro? I am helping Desoto County, MS set up their Eco project and wanted to include the Hydro component when it is available. They will begin collecting sample plot data in May and want to make sure they are collecting necessary data for Hyd...

Al, If UFORE were available as a desktop application, user's could easily run whatever scenario they would like by simply changing up their data sets and get results much more quickly than submitting multiple versions of their data to Syracuse. When can we expect to see the UFORE PC application? Eric

We have been working with University of Arkansas Little Rock and with Auburn University using UFORE as a complete inventory rather than a sample inventory in small greenways or around campus. I have put together a collection of tools including a GPS data dictionary (for units running TerraSync), a f...

Nick, If I understand you, you are trying to download the UFORE application directly from the website? Unfortunately, at this time, it can not be downloaded. You would have to go to the i-Tree website (www.itreetools.org) and request an i-Tree CD. The applications can be installed from the CD. Hopef...

From my personal experience after hurricane Katrina, I found that communities that were showing a willingness to help themselves by having their trees inventoried and damages assessed were more likely to get FEMA assistance than those that did not show a willingness to help themselves. The SDAP is a...

i-Tree 2.0 availability

What is the latest on the 2.0 release date? I have given several i-Tree training sessions and at each one I have to explain that the new version will be out soon. It is quite frustrating when I have to tell people that I am not sure when the new version will be released. Any help would be greatly ap...

I was asked today if i-Tree can run on units running Windows Mobile 6. I recall there were problems with 5.1. Does anyone have any experience with this?

SDAP post storm debris estimate not calculated

I am using SDAP as a tool for state urban foresters to estimate debris clean up costs after a storm. No pre-storm information will be available in the communities where this tool will be used. Although I have entered my debris estimate data into the CY and CYTotal field of the post data form in the ...

I was meticulous in following the instructions in the users manual (3 or 4 times). I figured that something in the utility didn't get loaded properly because the data were there, so I did a hard boot on my PDA and reloaded all of the i-Tree software again. That seemed to solve the problem. Thanks fo...

MCTI data download problem

I have installed the new i-Tree version 1.2 onto my laptop, set up the necessary ActiveSync 4.1 with my new Pharos PDA, got everything loaded per the user's manual, but when I download data collected on my PDA to my laptop and run MCTI, I get no species displayed in the species box on the details pa...
