Re: MyTree, but en masse?

Hello, The only i-Tree tool that data can be uploaded into from a spreadsheet is i-Tree Eco. Yes, there are many reports produced in i-Tree Eco including summary reports which are more general. If you open i-Tree Eco and the Hartland example project (by going to File then open example project), clic...

Re: Understanding i-Tree Streets species value assignments

Hello,

We are no longer updating or supporting i-Tree Streets. Instead we suggest that you use i-Tree Eco. I have emailed you the Eco species list.

Re: Blight and stress

Hi Adriana,

Those stress data fields are used in the pest detection module of i-Tree Eco. That module does not affect the benefits estimates but provides a mechanism for documenting potential signs of pest outbreaks.

Re: Sample plot size distribution per stratum

As you have seen, you can estimate future benefits related to the number of trees planted, mortality and extreme weather events using the forecast model inside of Eco. The carbon sequestration results that Eco estimates are based on DBH, total tree height, crown health, crown light exposure, and lan...

Re: How does iTree Canopy estimate Hydrological benefits?

Hello, Currently there is not one document that describes the methods in the i-Tree Canopy model. Below are links to papers we on the support team have been given that outline the hydrology methods in Canopy (despite what the title indicates): http://www.itreetools.org/eco/resources/iTree_Eco_Precip...

Hello, Jason is working on other projects today. Will you please send us a copy of the Canopy project you are working with as well as the files you uploaded to define the area in Canopy, the shape file. Send those to info@itree.org

Re: tree class separation

Hi, I think it depends on the goal of your project. Do you want to compare canopy and benefits between orchard areas and non-orchard areas? i-Tree Canopy does not calculate differences between canopy from orchard trees and non-orchard trees. In the Regional Settings there is an option to choose if y...

Re: Using I-Tree in a classroom - suggestions?

Hello Colin, This forum does not have a community of people collaborating on i-Tree issues. Instead the i-Tree tech support team answer questions that users post. Your idea about having the students use MyTree would be a useful way for students that are not familiar with the benefits trees provide t...

Re: Pollution data is not available

Hello,

Yes, you should be able to run an Eco project for locations that do not have pollution data. Of course, reports that rely on that data will not be available. The pop ups that are coming up are there to let users know that.

Re: Gathering tree population

Hello,

It is not possible to determine tree population size using any of the i-Tree software tools without inputting data gathered in the field. It is possible to estimate tree cover without collecting data in the field using the online i-Tree Canopy tool, https://canopy.itreetools.org/

Re: Tree Benefit Zone

There is not a way to export the energy benefits zones in i-Tree Design. I suggest you take a screen shot of it or use the "snipping tool" to capture it.
