Re: Comparing Sample & Complete Inventory of same plot, prob

Jason.Henning, I would have assumed that it was the percent coverage compensation, but I only added 1 plot at 100% for two missing trees. The two remaining plots with one tree each are at 100% as well. So all plots whose areas of interest covered less than 100% remained the same between the first an...

Comparing Sample & Complete Inventory of same plot, problems

Hello! For my ECO project, I compared the complete inventory and a 'random' sample inventory for the same site. The sample was actually a complete with plots arranged to encase each tree cluster. The small site meant that a complete inventory would provide better data, but it did not come with Writt...

Eco - Sampling - Order of Direction and Distance to Object

This is only a small tweak but in the General Info tab of iTree Eco Sampling the order of columns is "Distance to Object" followed by "Direction to Object." In the Tree Info tab, this order is switched which can be confusing when quickly entering data.

ECO - measuring azimuth for complete sampling

Hello again, I have another question. :D I am slightly confused on how to measure azimuth. I've determined north on a map and I've aligned a protractor with this direction. I'm confused about the next step. I can determine the degrees from north the main stem of a tree is but how am I supposed to de...

Re: ECO - Pith union below ground and multiple trunked trees

I see, that was very helpful. I think I'll go with treating them as a single tree because I don't want to over represent them. :D

Thank you so much!

ECO - Pith union below ground and multiple trunked trees

Hello, I have another question I was hoping someone could help me with. According to the manual, if the pith union is below the ground then different trunks are counted as separate trees. The height and crown base can be the same but how would you document crown width for a tree like a crepe myrtle ...

Re: Eco - park trees more than 60ft from building, S1

Thank you so much! I assumed that the D1 column was required, but you're right. I can leave S1 blank as long as D1 is not filled as well.

I really appreciate your help.

Eco - park trees more than 60ft from building, S1

Hello, I've recently started using iTree to do a complete inventory of trees in a local park and I've run into a problem. The S1 column will only take a distance between 0.1-60 but some of our trees are more than 60ft away from buildings. They are also taller than 20ft so the S1 column is required. ...
