Re: Boundry shapefile

Hi Baharak,
I ran a quick test and didn't have any trouble loading a shapefile in wgs84. If you are still having issues you could send us the .shp and .prj files you are using and we can try to troubleshoot. Our support email address is info@itreetools.org.
Thanks,
JAson

Re: Map won’t load

Hi,
This isn't behavior we have seen before. Could you create a packed project from the "File" menu in Eco then send the .zip that is created as an email attachment to info@itreetools.org. Then we can take a look and see if we can identify the issue.
Thanks,
Jason

Re: Playa Report and other questions

Good to hear you are finishing that report. You are welcome to send it to info@itreetools.org for consideration of addition to the website.

As far as the Querataro data I checked in with the i-Tree Database Team and they never received pollution data for that location.

Thanks,
Jason

Re: Monterry

At this time i-Tree Eco projects can only use one pollution/weather station at a time. The most accurate option would probably be to break your project into multiple pieces that would each be associated with a different station. However, that may not be practical for reporting or if you are stratify...

i-Tree streets cannot show Excel charts

i-Tree streets and MS Excel are both installed and working. However, when trying to review i-Tree streets results I get an error telling me to install MS Excel (specifically, "Please install MS Excel to view this chart"). Here is a link to Bugtracker post offering possible remedies to this issue. ht...

Using i-Tree for generic dollar values

The easiest and quickest i-Tree tool to use for benefits of an individual tree is i-Tree Design which is an online tool that basically requires an address, tree and tree dbh to start with. You can check the box to evaluate energy effects of a tree relative to a property. You will just need to trace ...

What is the correct way to enter a dead tree in Eco

Eco still requires a DBH value and tree height value for dead tree entry along with species if known. The % dieback and % canopy missing values should be entered as 100% also. Remaining tree measurement values live top, crown base, crown width, CLE are entered as -1. The Eco PDA has a check box whic...

Can I add plots to an existing Eco project?

Yes, it is possible. The dialog box for manual data entry under the Enter or Edit data option has an " Add Plot " function which will add one plot to an existing set of plots. This option may be useful to create one or a few extra plots in the input database for an existing random sample project in ...

How do I post stratify my existing i-Tree Eco project?

Stratification for Eco projects is defined by using the Manage Map Land Use function. However, stratification can be based on political boundaries, management units or any other scheme that will help you answer questions by comparing data between units within the entire study area. Eco version 5 use...

How should I cite an i-Tree application or users manual?

I would suggest citing the i-Tree canopy program as follows based on the MLA Handbook recommendations for citing electronic sources. The URL is optional if needed. i-Tree Canopy. i-Tree Software Suite v5.x. (n.d.). Web. Accessed day month. year. http://www.itreetools.org Also, the following citation...

Can a GIS inventory be integrated with i-Tree

The i-Tree Tools do not have integration features for working directly with a GIS or mapping system. The i-Tree Tools are urban forest assessment tools designed to provide ecosystem service information of a given resource. Therefore, they do not have the same features of other traditional tools that...

I would suggest as an alternative to try to download the i-Tree_Setup.exe file directly through the i-Tree website instead of upgrading through the application. The installation is a 248mb file size so the download may take some time if you are on an institutional or government system. It took me a ...

Vue NLCD Adjustment Factor zone 96, 97 & 98

Zones 96, 97 & 98 do not have adjustment factors and may not have been identified as separate zones during the research to determine the adjustment factors. As a work around, I would refer back to the zone map used to derive the adjustment factor for these areas which can be accessed in Vue (Adjustm...
