Hi --

I am wondering if it is possible to use our own land cover imagery in i-Tree Vue instead of NLCD data. We have imagery at 0.5m resolution and, as such, could get more accurate results than is possible at the 30 m level.

Any thoughts/advice are much appreciated.

Thanks,

Unfortunately, there is not a mechanism to allow a user to import in finer resolution imagery for analysis in Vue. Although .5 meter resolution imagery would have greater canopy detail, the Vue program is not set up for analysis at that fine a scale. In essence, the program would be analyzing canopy sections of individual trees at a very fine resolution.

Therefore, I'm not sure if that would be something that would be feasible for the future unless there was a way for the program to be adjusted to anlayze at different resolutions. I'll run it passed the developers to see if they have any further thoughts to pass along.

Al
